Un seisme a totalement detruit Napier dans les annees 1920. La ville a ete reconstruite dans les annees 1930, ce qui fait que le style architectural predominant de Napier est l'Art Deco.
An earthquake completely leveled the town of Napier in the 20's. The town was immediately rebuilt, and because of the architectural style of the day, the whole town is in fantastic Art Deco style. Very well preserved, and every year there is an international Art Deco festival there.
Un autre plus de Napier, elle est au bord de l'ocean pacifique.
Napier is on the East coast of New Zealand's north island.
